Backstreet Boys' AJ McLean Provides Fans With Post

See how the singer is recovering after undergoing a necessary procedure.

AJ McLean is giving his fans a health update after going into surgery earlier this week.

The Backstreet Boys member revealed via social media that he was undergoing a procedure to treat a hernia, and now that he's out of surgery, he wants his fans to know how he's recovering.

"Well post op I'm in a shit ton of pain but hopefully they fixed me up right," McLean, 45, wrote in an Instagram post on Tuesday, Apr. 4, alongside a series of photos of him resting up and showing the bandages on his stomach in mirror selfies.

"Lots of bed rest and movies in my future," he added. "Night all. Thanks for the prayers I appreciate them all."

In the comment section, many of McLean's followers took the opportunity to wish him a speedy recovery, including comedian Jo Koy, who wrote, "Rest up easy AJ. Get well" under the post.

Earlier in the week, the boy-bander shared a snap from the hospital, while he was fully prepped for surgery in a hospital gown bouffant cap.

"Well it's surgery time," he wrote in the caption. "Bye bye hermia! [sic]"

"Wish me luck. 😳," he added, to which his fans obliged by sending him good vibes as he headed in for the procedure.

"Good luck!!!! ❤️👏" wrote pal Ruby Rose in the comments, as Michelle Visage noted, "You got this."

Late last month, McLean revealed he is temporarily splitting from his wife of 11 years.
